MOLNLYCKE Mepore film is intended for a wide range of wounds in the granulation phase such as superficial burns, iv sites, abrasions, lacerations, donor sites, superficial pressure ulcers, closed surgical wounds and may help to prevent skin breakdown. Mepore film can be used as a conformable fixation device or as a secondary dressing to cover dressings such as hydrogels, alginates and foam dressings. Mepore film conforms easily to body contours, protects the wound surface and provides a barrier to leakage and bacterial contamination. Mefilm maintains a moist environment in the wound and due to its high vapour permeability allows excess moisture to pass away from the wound and surrounding skin. Mefilm is made of polyurethane coated with a polyacrylic adhesive. The clay coated paper release liners are coated on both sides with silicone. The applicator is made of craft paper. Mepore film is supplied with 2 different release papers and one supporting sheet for easy application. Allowed 12 every 30 days, but recommended wear time is up to 7 days. Sized 4" x 5" (10 x 12.7 Cm). Sold by the each dressing, you can order 70 for a full box.
