MOLNLYCKE Mepilex border 6x6 is a self-adherent soft silicone bordered foam dressing. Mepilex border has excellent fluid handling properties because of the following: safetac layer-impedes horizontal leakage, absorption layer-Ensures quick and effective absorption and spreading layer-spreads the exudate into the retention layer. The retention layer-impedes exudate from being pushed back into the skin to reduce the risk of maceration. Backing film is highly breathable, waterproof and bacteria proof to protect the wound from outer contamination. The pad measures 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" (11cm x 11cm) with a 3/4" (2cm) border. Mepilex border is designed for a wide range of moderate to highly exuding wounds such as pressure ulcers, leg and foot ulcers and traumatic wounds (e.G., Skin tears and secondary healing wounds).
