MOLNLYCKE Melgisorb plus dressing is a highly absorbent dressing for a wide range of moderately to heavily exuding and partial to full thickness wounds. When absorbing exudate, the alginate fibers become gel-like, providing a moist environment conducive to wound healing. However, the dressing does not adhere to the wound site and can easily be removed by irrigating with 0.9% Normal saline, thereby reducing trauma and pain during wear and dressing change. This dressing is suitable for cavity wounds and can be cut to shape. Melgisorb is not indicated for dry wounds, third degree burns, or surgical implantations. Allowed three per day every 30 days.
