CONVATEC Esteem synergy mold-to-fit 7/8" to 1-1/4" (22mm-33Mm) stomahesive (standard wear) skin barrier features a landing zone flange and white tape collar. CONVATEC moldable technology skin barriers were developed to meet two patient needs; a barrier that is easy to customize and provides greater protection from skin breakdown. The barriers feature a moldable adhesive that can be rolled back to create a custom opening that can be tailored to the size and shape of each individual stoma. No templates and cutting are needed. A clear, flat, flexible plastic "landing zone" flange on the skin barrier is square and is slightly larger in size compared to the round adhesive ring on the pouch. This makes the application process easy - precise alignment is unnecessary. To personalize the stoma opening, simply use your thumbs to roll the adhesive back, continuing to roll back until you create an opening of your desired size and shape. The special moldable adhesive flexes to fit a variety of stoma shapes and sizes, including irregular and oval shaped stomas which can be difficult to fit with traditional cut-to-fit barriers. Once applied to the body, the adhesive elastic properties allow the barrier to gently hug the stoma, creating a secure, personalized fit. This action, improves fit and eliminates gaps experienced with traditional skin barriers.
