TELEFLEX Lubricath Teimann model 22 french foley catheter with coude tip and 30cc ribbed balloon. This red latex radiopaque lubricious coated catheter provides for smoother insertion and enhanced patient comfort through the hydrogel coating that absorbs fluid, thus creating a hydrophilic cushion between the catheter surface and the urethra. The product allows atraumatic insertion for enhanced patient comfort and the bard hydrogel coating maintains its integrity throughout the course of use, resulting in less trauma upon removal. The teimann model coude-tipped catheter is used to negotiate the male urethra, particularly when a stricture is present. The medium olive coude of this model features a slightly larger bulb at the tip to assist in negotiation of restrictions. The red latex offers additional stiffness that aids insertion and adds radiopacity. The recommended inflation capacity for this catheter is 35 ml of sterile water. Please take care not to use ointments or lubricants having a petrolatum base with this catheter as they will damage latex and may cause the balloon to burst. xix, allowed 1 every 30 days with documentation of reason for specialty catheter.
