The barrier features a floating flange allowing for fingers to be put under the flange for support while attaching the pouch to the barrier and eliminating pressure on tender post operative abdomens, cut-to-fit feature that allows the patient to cut the skin barrier opening to the size and shape of the stoma up to 2 inches (51mm), integral convexity which is indicated for stomas that are flush, recessed, or retracted, tape border that provides additional security to the attachment of the skin barrier and flexwear synthetic skin barrier which is designed to be worn more than one day and is more resistant to breakdown.
